Hi Analytic (??), This is a do-it-yourself group, where we help each other out. Many of us had to learn how to translate (well, bumble our way) through the records and many of us have become quite proficient and can help others now.
The how to do it yourself is here on the Azores. You want chapter 3a: http://www.worldgenweb.org/azrwgw/research-aids-a---l/finding-your-portuguese/ I'd go through Tombo.pt to navigate the Azorean vital records site (Centro de Conhecimento dos Acores or CCA). tombo.pt. Click the British flag in the upper right corner if you need to navigate in English. If you are not interested in doing it yourself, you can hire a researcher. That is your decision to make. You have the names, dates, and places, which are the 3 key pieces that they need. The Azores GenWeb also has a list of researchers for hire: http://www.worldgenweb.org/azrwgw/researchers-available-for.html Good luck, Cheri Mello Listowner, Azores-Gen Researching: São Miguel island: Vila Franca, Ponta Garca, Ribeira Quente, Ribeira das Tainhas, Achada On Tue, May 21, 2019 at 8:31 AM Analytic Advantage < [email protected]> wrote: > Hey all, > > After 4 years of working on my tree, I've hit some major roadblocks.
