My great grandfather (immigrant) was Jacinto Leite De Amaral. I have 2 different birth dates for him both in 1855, and indications point to Sao Miguel.
Today I find this baptism, but I am really struggling to read it. The format is a lot different than most I have looked at and a lot of different names appear. It is also 1854, but hey, close. http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855/S <http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855_item1/P137.html> MG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855_item1/P137.html <http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855_item1/P137.html> I continue on for some more pages and I see this one for a Maria (right page). I don't have any reason to be looking at hers except I see in the names a lot of Amarals, and even Jacintho de/do Amaral http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-B-1853-1855_item1/P154.html can someone with keener eyes and translations skills help me figure out what is going on here? Am I on the right track finally? possibly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Carl DeAmaral -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group.
