Hi Janet C, Many older spellings have the "y" instead of the "i." So he was recorded as Jeronymo, which in modern Portuguese would be Jeronimo. Record Jeronimo in your genealogy program and make a note that he is recorded with the older spelling of Jeronymo.
You are lucky. Grandparents aren't recorded in this time period, but this priest chose to do so. Paternal grandparents: Sebastiao Antonio Pimentel and Anna de Santa Josepha (not sure about that Santa Josepha). Maternals: Manuel de Something Maia de ____ and Maria do Rosario. Yes, you have the birth date correct. Many of our immigrant ancestors didn't know their actual birth date. Someone else will be able to get those missing words.
