Hi Trisha, Did a quick check of the Terceira island passports and found your Grandfather. See right side # 815. He was 15 years old and is comes from the parish of Fontinha, Praia da Vitoria, Ilha Terceira.

Hi, I have been doing some Research to find out more about my grandfather that came over on the SS Romanica in 1910 from the Azores. My dad also named Abel Roman Avila born in 1919 never had a chance to meet him. Abel or Roman as he was called passed away in 1919. My father Abel Avila passed away in 1977 when I was 15 yrs old.
