I know this idea can't be right unless a scholar also said it somewhere, but
what if it doesn't say a "wild ass of a man" but "a red (?) wild ass"? I read
on Wikipedia that the wild ass in Israel was called the onager and is reddish
brown. I think the red heifer is also reddish brown, so maybe that is the same
color. Job 11:12 might also say a red wild ass.
