With scholars not being able to agree as to the origin of the word
“Hebrew”/(BRY, why not ask if that name, like dozens of other names in the
Patriarchal narratives, is an Amarna Age non-Semitic name, being E-bi-ir-ya and
meaning “God Is Lord”?

Jim, you could be correct. However, since no-one on this list has the knowledge
of Hurrian that you obviously do, there is no way for any of us to engage you
in fruitful discussion. As several members of the list have recommended many
times, you should obviously write up your theory in a full-length publication,
publish it either in print or on-line, and open up a blog or a list dedicated
to discussion of those theories. Meanwhile, I see that you've begun discussing
them on at least one other list as well.

In any case, since it seems that the original question has been asked and
answered, THIS THREAD, UNDER ANY SUBJECT LINE, IS CLOSED.
