It depends on how people reply. If they use 'reply group' then one post
goes to the group (including you); if they use 'reply all' one post goes
to the group and one to you - so you get two posts; if they use 'reply',
then the post goes to you but not to the group. It partly depends on how
this group is set up, partly on the email client each person uses.
It is always risky to read either motive or tone/attitude into emails.
So much gets lost in the written word.

This is the first comment resembling an answer he's given me, and
I didn't snipe at him.
My first response was that you hadn’t given me (or anyone else, for
that matter) enough information. That is an answer.
Then when you gave more information, that was gibberish.
You need to do your homework, and that homework is to get familiar
with the text that we have. That means read it through cover to cover
at least five times. Even after then, you’ll still not be ready to
make up sentences, but you’ll be ready to recognize some of what is
not good Hebrew.
