Where do you find downloads on the BBC site? I know the Radio Player, for
on-demand streaming, but where do you download? Is that different from the
podcasting trial, which applies only to a few programs?

I have an MP3 Player, but it is not an iPod, hence no iTunes for me... I
bought a 20GB iaudio X5 (Cowon) because it has line-in recording,
microphone, FM tuner you can record from, multiple music formats, etc. (It
also can show photos and movies, but not very well & one shouldn't buy it if
movies and photos are important-- buy the new iPod in that case...) Also,
you don't bneed special software to manage the files -- they appear as a
drive in the usual way, through the USB connection, and so it is easy to
organize the files and you can use it to store any kind of computer file. I
wanted to convert my old music collection (on tapes, CDs, and even reecords)
rather than to buy a whole new collection. The iPod business model
requirtes you to repurchase a lot of music, at least everything you don't
have on CD. And I also need to recrod live events & sounds for my
multimedia and to record the radio (AM through the line-in, FM directly on t
player, althugh maybe my stereo gets better reception). I am not
advertising the player I bought, though-- for one thing, its screen cracked
and I don't know how, and they don't have very good suppport and repair
services... But the music quality is good, as is teh feature set.
