Hello Jason,

Very nice, I have been trying to find the time to do some web based stuff around weather data.

I'm a fairly keen windsurfer and there are quite a few quality sites that give weather predictions that might be a good place to "borrow" ideas from.

http://www.windguru.cz/ - provide excellent predictions of wind movements using a number of different weather models. http://www.xcweather.co.uk - provide the latest weather information for the UK. The information is based on the feeds from the airports (for example the reading in Bristol is Filton Private Airport). The buoys out at see are from another source.

Perhaps you could merge those two feeds in as well?

Any chance of getting Bristol in there as well?

Cheers,

James

ps - how come the demo has google ad's on it? Does that increase the licencing issues (i.e. your making money from other peoples data they gave you for non commercial purposes?).

A website I've made in a personal capacity (nothing to do with the BBC).

It takes the weather data from various websites (currently only
weather.com and the BBC, for London & New York - more coming) and makes
a prediction based on their combined forecasts. Some parts are dodgy at
the moment, and there may be licencing issues, but feedback appreciated!

Cheers,
Jason
