I'm a long-tern lurker on this list - retired  sysadmin & C
programmer, well out-of-date :-)

I well remember ..... from around '98, using RealPlayer with BBC
content & checking the realtime streaming statistics online, kindly &
surprisingly provided, sadly gone, to find out why it was often so
slow :-)

Technical podcasts are a great idea - I only ask that you record them
using an HD minicam (BBC issue thsse days I'm told) so that in the
future something like 'Nerds 2.0.1' could be made. Both the Nerds
series were BBC co-produced & I still have them on VHS.
