I think this would make a very interesting series of podcasts... Looking at the technical history of bbc.co.uk and how it developed and launched - and how it's evolved, and finally how it's moving forward.
I'm a long-tern lurker on this list - retired sysadmin & C programmer, well out-of-date :-) I well remember ..... from around '98, using RealPlayer with BBC content & checking the realtime streaming statistics online, kindly & surprisingly provided, sadly gone, to find out why it was often so slow :-) Technical podcasts are a great idea - I only ask that you record them using an HD minicam (BBC issue thsse days I'm told) so that in the future something like 'Nerds 2.0.1' could be made. Both the Nerds series were BBC co-produced & I still have them on VHS.
