The purpose of dual licensing under a GPL and another free software license is to provide GPL compatibility when the other license is not GPL compatible for some minor reason. The GPLv3 resolves many of these minor reasons, and the MIT and revised BSD licenses are already GPL compatible so there is no reason to dual license with them. > Can I put in a plea for dual licensing to keep everybody happy? Can I put in a plea for Affero GPL licensing to keep software freedom protected, even for web apps? :-) -- Regards, Dave - Sent via the backstage.bbc.co.uk discussion group.
