It didn't actually _need_ any maintenance for a while. But the way that
both Limelight and Akamai RTMP streams changed over the last week or so,
so I've now made a v2.77 release:
  ftp://ftp.infradead.org/pub/get_iplayer/get_iplayer-2.77.tar.gz

There's a git repository at
  git://git.infradead.org/get_iplayer.git
  http://git.infradead.org/get_iplayer.git

and a mailing list at
  http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer

The Akamai 'fix' is extremely dubious; if anyone can shed any light on
http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/get_iplayer/2010-May/000016.html
that would be much appreciated.

I don't really know much about RTMP, and I don't even really admit to
knowing perl -- so patches from users are most welcome.

I can give accounts on git.infradead.org if you want to publish a git
tree there with your changes, or you can just mail patches to the list
(or to me in private if you'd like them to be applied anonymously for
some reason).
