I'm setting up a new subnet with BackupPC. I've used
BackupPC before with great success & so know a reasonable
amount, but am not an expert by any means!
I've got the latest version with the Server a 64bit Suse 9.3
Prof installation with latest patches.
BackupPC is dying every night when it wakess up to do
backups. The error message discovered in the log is:
"Can't use string ("-99") as a HASH ref while "strict refs"
in use at /usr/lcoal/backuppc/bin/BackupPC line 1624."
Now, this chunk of code seems to be going through DHCP
strings [line 1624]. My DHCP server is setup with a range of
192.168.0.80 through 99. The same DHCP range is specified in
the main config file. However, no DHCP is specified in the
Hosts file. So,presumably, it should be trying to use
NMBLOOKUP. Standalone backups work fine. There are two
WINDOZE clients. The one with 192.168.0.99 is offline and 98
is online when the error happens.
Anyone have any clues?
Cheers & thanks,
Dave
