Les, my installation of Fedora Core 4 is pretty standard on the BackupPC 
Server. How do I open that port and more so setup the passwordless ssh access 
from BackupPC to the client?

You have to set up passwordless ssh access from the backuppc server
to the client, but it sounds like you are firewalling port 22 on
the fedora box so it can't get through.
