Looks like several people have seen this. Lorentz, are you using rsync or SMB? Regis: are you saying the restore mostly works, but some files are missing? Or does the entire restore fail? I would very much like to recreate this, but I haven't seen this. I'll do some more testing. Are you restoring to "/" or a subdirectory? Are top-level directories missing? Or is it random files in sub-directories? Do missing files still appear in the RestoreLOG file?
