Hi Guys,

I am also experincing the same problem. I am using smb and doing a "test" restore to a removable IDE HDD on a windows 98 machine. The Full restore completes without any errors. It is just that some subdirectories are empty. The data has definately been backed up because I can restore the "missing" files if I go and select them individualy. The actual size of the full restore is 26 GB, but only 14 GB is restored.

I have seen this before on the list, but never an answer...

I backup several WinXP clients and when restoring individual files, never a problem - but when attempting to restore entire backups it "misses" files.

I haven't determined any kind of pattern, just that it does miss them.

I have exactly the same problem. I use the SMB protocol, and restoring
individual files works fine, but I can't select all files to restore.

Looks like several people have seen this.

Lorentz, are you using rsync or SMB?

Regis: are you saying the restore mostly works, but some files
are missing? Or does the entire restore fail?

I would very much like to recreate this, but I haven't seen this.
I'll do some more testing.

Are you restoring to "/" or a subdirectory? Are top-level
directories missing? Or is it random files in sub-directories?
Do missing files still appear in the RestoreLOG file?

Craig
