Hi List, hope you all had a peacful christmas time...mine was´nt. I had to restore a whole server after a break in and i run in some serious trouble with this. When i try to start a restore from the B-PC server i looks first that everything runs fine, after a while (on the client side) the process list doesnt shows any rsync process. The server "thinks" that the backup is still running, no timeout or something similar happens. As restore method i took a knoppix, mount the devices, put the pub-key in root´s .ssh dir and start the restore. It isnt the first time that i had to restore a whole server, with my gentoo-machines everything runs fine.But this time .... no luck. The problem machine ist a SuSe 9.3, partitions formated with ext3.All what is differend ist the distri..
Can someone give my a hint where i have to search or can explain what i can do? I am nearly desperated ...
