The linux box is being backed up using
tar.
As far as I know, these speeds are not network speeds, but rather the
size of useful backup data received per second. So basically there's no
problem there.
For comparison, I'm getting speeds between 0.97 MB/s and 3.23 MB/s on
our 100 Mbps network. However, the NIC on the BackupPC server is not
really good.
