I use backuppc at first time. my server is Ubuntu 5.10, client is windows Xp pro SP2. I installed backuppc from a debain stable repository. config.pl is config by default. Windows xp use cygwin by installed from Setup.exe version 2.457.2.2 and selected full packet, rsync is version 2.6.3
and windows xp is off firewall for test run backuppc to backup my data
I create public key in both on client and server, it can login by not require password, and I add name of client and server
into "~/.ssh/known_hosts" for aviod require "yes" by ssh

can i use other username, i don't want to use usename "root".

server name: bangkok
client name: bangsaen
username on windows: chaiwat

on client:
   rsync -av [EMAIL PROTECTED]:source . it work fine.
   rsync -av [EMAIL PROTECTED]: . it work fine.

on server:
   rsync -av [EMAIL PROTECTED]: . it work fine.
   rsync -av [EMAIL PROTECTED]: . it work fine.
