Hi,
Is it possible that Backuppc sends weekly (or daily, dont mind) reports to a
specific email even though there are no errors with the backups?. I want
something like that, but I dont know how to do it.

I have a daily status email and RSS feed. You can edit out the RSS stuff
if you want just email. The status email address is configurable. I
wrote up a little howto for myself (I am running backuppc-2.1.1, so
adjustments may be necessary if using a newer version):

Hi Travis,

Its taken a while to play with this, just too busy ;)

I'm having difficulty getting your script to work (i'm using it on version 3, maybe somethings different). Again i know little about perl. Before i elaborate.....

What i can already do - send an email to a user after a backup has been done to say whether it was successful or not.

What i would like to do - send the email carrying backup info such as what you see in the Backup Summary page of the cgi, but only for the last backup.

Totals Existing Files New Files
Backup# Type #Files Size/MB MB/sec #Files Size/MB
#Files Size/MB
7 <http://10.10.10.10/cgi-bin/BackupPC_Admin?action=browse&host=diesel&num=7> full 3 0.2 0.03 3 0.2 0 0

Your script will do an overall report, and i'd still like to probably implement that weekly as a summary.

Can you help?

TIA

Regards,

Les
