I started this thread because my backups did not have many reusable files found.
I have had configured $TopDir=/Backup/backupp and found, in 
/var/log/backuppc/LOG,
log messages like:

2007-07-01 14:00:21 Running BackupPC_link athlux (pid=23935)
2007-07-01 14:00:23 athlux: mkdir /var/lib/backuppc: Permission denied 
at /usr/share/backuppc/lib/BackupPC/Lib.pm line 741
2007-07-01 14:00:23 Finished athlux (BackupPC_link athlux)

after reconfiguring $TopDIr=/var/log/backuppc my backups will pooled again.
Today I think that the error is not in BackupPC_link.
