On my first full backup, I filled a 178 GB drive even though it was only
supposed to be backing up about 120 GB of data (reported by 'du -csh').
I'm using rsync as the transport (the host is a Linux machine).

Any ideas why this might be? Rsync is using the --links option, so it
shouldn't be following any links to other directories. When I eliminate
/home from the list of directories to backup (leaving only /etc and
/usr/local/bin), the problem goes away.

Since the first backup ends with an error, the cgi interface isn't
allowing me to browse the backups that did tranfer. Is there an easy
way for me to browse them manually? By the way, I'm not using
compression but all the files seem to be located in
/var/lib/backuppc/cpool (I expected them to be in 'pool').

I'm using the 2.something package for Ubuntu 6.06 -- sorry, I don't have
access to that machine right now or I'd give you the exact version number.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
