Apparently I was a bit hasty in my celebration. It is only my
hand-rolled dump script mailer that currently receives such benefits of
putting a list of names in the 'user' field. Where access to the host is
concerned I still need to redundantly have the usernames in moreUsers to
gain access. And yet another reason to not celebrate my so-called
discovery in BackupPC is in now not having a primary user for BackupPC
to mail backup reminders to because BackupPC will more than likely read
user1,user2 list in the user field as a single string then try to mail
there and fail. Regardless, BackupPCs indifference to a userlist in the
users field is pretty much confirmed in my inability to access the host
when I have such a setup. user1,user2 is not a valid user or mail address.

Am I safe to suggest that the extension of the user field to support a
list of usernames (primary users) would be useful to others in that
mainly it would allow those named users to receive backup reminder mails
instead of requiring nth degree mailgroup management at the mail server
just to use a group to hold multiple mail recipients in the user field
BackupPC uses for backup reminders? As mentioned, I do all of this due
to the hosts being shared workstations.

As I said, unwieldy.

Scratch that, my tests were obviously suspect though I can still live in
hope of the above striking a sweet chord with someone that can make a
difference.
