Craig, I got this one worked out already.  It was a windows permissions
problem.  For the record, here is what I got in the restore log,
although the log wasn't produced until after the restore had timed out
1223 minutes after starting it--not particularly helpful when I was
trying to figure out why the restore was taking so long!
