I'm not used to reading sendmail log messages, but it looks successful to me
(DSN 2.0.0 and stat "Sent"), though the envelope sender address is invalid
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) - at least I wouldn't accept that. You might
want to check $Conf {EMailFromUserName}.

Are you sure you're not expecting messages BackupPC doesn't in fact send? You
should only get e-mail if something is going wrong, not if everything is
working as it should.

You should be able to send a BackupPC test email with something like

        % sudo -u backuppc /usr/local/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC_sendEmail -u [EMAIL
PROTECTED]

(you might need to use a different method of becoming the backuppc user, and
your path to BackupPC_sendEmail might be different). Does that work?

Regards,
Holger
