I love BackupPC, it's so much simpler than Amanda and Bacula.

Unfortunately it's performance is a 10-fold lower on my servers.

I wish to back-up a total of 20 servers, but I am not sure if I should pick
BackupPC due to poor performance. The load on the servers is very low and
rsnapshot/bacula back-ups often performed with speeds above 10MB per second.

I have disabled compression as this caused a fairly high cpu load on the
servers. The servers are connected via 1gbit network and no more than 2
simultanous back-ups are running.

What performance have users here reached in terms of MB/sec for complete
servers? And how poor is the 1.5MB/sec average I am having here? The servers
have low load, the network performance is good.
