The real win from this approach is that you can skew the days the
fulls and incrementals run for different parts of the filesystem.
Once you get past the problem of getting the directory entries in RAM,
full runs have to go back and read all of the file data for the block
checksum comparisons. Incrementals will quickly skip any items where
the directory timestamps and length match.
