It would help if you would re-state the specifics of your problems. I get 
hundreds of emails every day, so these things don't remain on my radar screen 
very long.

I assume you have already ensure that the FC is not caching SCSI data or 
status codes, which would be fatal to Bacula.  I also assume that you have 
worked your way through the (9 if I remember right) steps in the Tape testing 
chapter of the manual.

I never need a time stamp for debug output -- the normal job output has a time 
stamp.  However, it is rather easy to add to the code.

Generally, you can simply set the particular error levels in the file you want 
to some much smaller value and rebuilt.  I've begun adding a:

   const int dbglvl = 100;

in many files, so that you simply adjust it in one place.  It *is* a bit 
crude, but we don't generally need much debug output.
