Hello, My response to Arno and Kern posts:

In fact btape test was working correctly for a long time. The first is not. I was unable to get any help neither from my local hardware provider, nor from ibm. I still wait for the response from qlogic, but don't expect anything valuable. This is a very frustrating situation for me, but can't help it. > Arno: > One question: What connections do exist? One card connected to one drive with nice orange FC cable :-) > Arno: > How is the HBA driver configured? IIRC, there was some option > regarding tape handling. Or something - I haven't been in close > contact with FC systems lately... Yes, indeed. There is an "Enable FC Tape Support" option in HBA configuration, I set it on, but didn't notice any change. About timestamp in SD log - I did some coding and will post in a separate mail, perhaps it could be useful for omeone else.
