yes, i know that the packages are available on sourceforge, but my
(maybe silly) philosophy is to build them by myself (main reason is
that i don't install Bacula in the "standard" directories, i always
have it all in /opt/bacula). in the past i always recompiled the source
on all servers....   but now, with the directions above, i was able
to create my own rpm's   :-)))

as i didn't get any response in building packages for solaris i sat
down on my .....   and did it myself. attached you'll find a patch
to ./platforms/solaris which can be used to create a Solaris package
(in the makepkg.sh there is a configure only for client, but it would
also work if you configure for building all daemons).

Would be nice to meet you here, but i'm currently not sure if
it would be possible here at my workplace. but if you like, there
would be nothing against visiting one of our wonderful cafe's or
one of our "Heurigen"   :-))
