Yes, we don't receive enough donations to be able to afford all the necessary
hardware -- and I don't have space for it in my house, so we rely on patches.
This all will change over time with Bacula Company because the company will
want to officially support Mac and hence will make the investment in getting
the hardware.

Well, it is *really* rare that we reject patches. Please don't confuse
stonewalling and the fact that all the developers are already totally
overloaded -- we just cannot do everything, and no one is paying us for this
(and very few are donating) so we do as much of the most important parts as
we can and rely on the community to come up with solutions for the rest ...

Well, despite that, with a little effort for those who do have the hardware,
with our advice, you should be able to resolve the problem. But just keep in
mind that without the hardware, we are totally "blind".
