Yes. you need to specify the plugin directory in the config file too.

If the backup works (or even if it just doesn't fail spectacularly on
startup) then I think any further problems you have will not be related
to the 64 bit environment.

My expectation is that it will either 'just work', or the plugin will
fail to load. If it does fail to load, please let me know what error
messages you get so I can see if maybe I could give a more useful
message instead.
