No, I am not ready to do that because I am not convinced that your view of how 
to proceed corresponds to the project's way of programming that has been 
successful over the last 10 year.  

We are very conservative, and I get the feeling that you want to make some 
important modifications to our code and why of coding. We take quite a 
conservative view of development and try to avoid the risk of introducing 
bugs by making unnecessary changes while at the same time advancing the code 
in modernizing it step by step.
