Markus, The link that you provided does seem to work.
The tone of your e-mail doesn't seem productive. From what I can tell so far you seem to be spending more time attempting to change how Kern and the other developers code Bacula then moving the project forward. Kern and the other contributors have made an excellent backup package. I don't know of a better one at any price. Please be constructive and work with them in such a way that your not attempting to change how they work. Please avoid being confrontational or snarky to the current developers, they deserve respect. That link if it worked might have been beneficial for someone like me, who is still used to svn and traditional diff's and is just starting to learn git. I am fairly sure that Kern is much past the learning GIT stage. The patch as provided is 7019 lines and not something that one can see the changes by eye, thus I don't know what's in it. If the patch is something that is productive to the project please send in the FSFE license paper work or Kern will not accept the change how ever good they are. http://www.bacula.org/en/?page=fsfe Thanks -Jason On Sun, 2009-12-13 at 14:40 +0100, SF Markus Elfring wrote: > > As I said, it should be obvious. 11 out 11 hunks fail, and I can visually > > in > > less than 1 minute find two syntax errors. > > Can informations from the article "How to create and apply a patch with Git" > help to resolve any open issues? > http://ariejan.net/2009/10/26/how-to-create-and-apply-a-patch-with-git/ > > Would you like to give it another try with the appended file format? > > Regards, > Markus > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Return on Information: > Google Enterprise Search pays you back > Get the facts. > http://p.sf.net/sfu/google-dev2dev > _______________________________________________ > Bacula-devel mailing list > Bacula-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-devel -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jason A.
