Hi Radoslav,

thanks for your answer, but I'm in doubt whether that's correct. My longest
"job retention" is set
to 1 month and I have many jobs in the database that are much older then 1
month.

I also tried to run the "eliminate orphaned job records" and none of these old
jobs had been
eliminated...

br,
christian

Betreff: Re: [Bacula-devel] DB-Entries in "job" table

Hello,

2013/9/19 Masopust, Christian
<christian.masop...@siemens.com<mailto:christian.masop...@siemens.com>>
Hi all,

I'm currently planning to create some procedures to create
"management-statistic" pages with BIRT
for our Bacula backup. I've now done a short investigation what can be found
for that purpose within
the existing Bacula database and have seen that the job table seems to contain
all the jobs since
I've set up Bacula here.

So, my questions:
- will the job table be "pruned" sometime by bacula-dir?

Yes. Check your Job Retention parameter.

- will dbcheck "Eliminate orphaned Job records" clean the job table?

Yes.

best regards
