Hi all,
I'm currently planning to create some procedures to create "management-statistic" pages with BIRT for our Bacula backup. I've now done a short investigation what can be found for that purpose within the existing Bacula database and have seen that the job table seems to contain all the jobs since
I've set up Bacula here.
So, my questions:
- will the job table be "pruned" sometime by bacula-dir?
Yes, either when the Job Retention Period runs out AND you run another job of the
same name, or when the Volume is pruned.
- will dbcheck "Eliminate orphaned Job records" clean the job table?
I am not sure, since there the Job is the "main" record. I don't use
dbcheck very often, so I forgot the options.

Thanks a lot,
Christian
