Hello Phil,

OK, great.  I wonder whether Oracle will continue that practice now that RedHat has been bought by IBM?

Best regards,
Kern

Hello Phil,

Davide (from Bacula Systems) is working on providing more binaries. He
is a very busy person, and creating the rpms and the resulting binaries
the first time is a lot of work as they are significantly different from
the Bacula Systems ones that he maintains.   I am sure that Davide will
do RHEL7 (or CentOS7) in the near future if he has not already done it,
but I suspect that you may be on your own for Oracle, because I believe
that there are many open source distros that we should support that we
don't that will have a higher priority.
Kern,
FYI, Oracle Enterprise Linux uses the RHEL codebase (with the exception
of offering ksplice and much newer kernels), and the RHEL7 package works
perfectly on OEL7 once Davide reminded me where to find it.
