Just a quick question as I can't find this in the docs:

I can successfully restore to my W2K3 server with bacula just fine,
HOWEVER, it uses the restore path I have set in the restore job of
/tmp/bacula-restores ....which is fine if you are restore in Unix,
but it ends up as C:\tmp\bacula-restores in Windows...how would I
point to say D:\Fedora ???

Interesting question.
One way - apart from what you describe later, but which I never tried - would be to mount the "other" partition to a directory in windows. Yes, you can do that. It's one of the possibilities with Windows' drive management mmc (I don't know what that one is called in english, where you manage partitions etc.).

In Unix I know I can change paths to different drives as they all
appear to be one structure - /whatever could point to a different
drive than /here and you don't know that from looking at the path.

How can I do that for a Windows restore? Is it as simple as the
restore path being set to D:/Fedora in the job options? (Note I
changed the \ to a / as I have in the bacula config file)
If that is not correct what would be the proper way to do this?

And secondly, related to this what would I use as a path if I want to
restore multiple Drives at the same run or is that not possible??

I don't understand that question... do you want to populate multiple disks with identical contents? Then, I'm afraid, you've got to do that by hand, for example by first restoring to one disk, and then copying or imaging to the others.

You could suggest such a feature, of course, although I'd rather think this would be a software deployment feature and not strictly backup / restore.

Thanks, you have a great product, just saved me 12GB of Fedora DVD
Images when my external USB failed last night at 9pm...

People, read this - I'm right when I think external hard disks are *not* proper backup media ;-)

had them back
on (at least somewhere :)) the Server in under 30 minutes. :))

Yes, I like bacula too.
(And, of course, it's good to hear that your problems didn't result in serious trouble.)
