I use the original i386 debian deb packages from unstable. Last two days I compiled the source from Sourceforge and everything went fine. It seems to be a problem in the debian package. When I compiled the debian source package and I've got the error. I don't know much about the debian/rule file but I thing there must be an error in the compiler flags. I will test this weekend and analyze the error and maybe open a bug report at bugs.debian.org Maybe someone can confirm the problem in the debian package.
