My autochanger has onboard configuration abiility to number the slots from 
0 or 1 (default is 1) and the drives from 0 or 1 (Default is 0)

It really doesn't matter how bacula thinks the slots are numbered, as long 
as YOU think of the slot numbering in the same way.

Position of the tape in the changer is only important to a human changing 
the tapes - all Bacula cares about is that the tape is 1: accessable and 
2: In slot it was last catalogged in (update slots).
