Hi there, I have been using Bacula for a couple of years now to back up nearly a tereabyte of information. We do full backups on the weekends, and differential backups on weekdays.
The problem comes from the fact that a full backup takes nearly 4 tapes, and we don't seem to be able to predict which tapes it will call for before going home for the weekend. Inevitably we will get a long list of "Backup Failed" notices, because it can't find the tape it wants, and have to drive into the office to change tapes - even though there are perfectly good tapes in the autochanger ready to be used. Any advice on how to better predict which tapes will be called for, and ensure the correct ones are in the drive? Thanks, alot Brent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
