Interesting. You forgot to tell us which version of Bacula you use... but as far as I know, the "Accept Any Volume" directive did always work or rather did always apply, even if you set tit to 'No'. This is what I can tell from experience: Bacula, starting with at least 1.37, accepts any suitable volme in the autochanger and does not insist on what it asks for. But you must not forget to keep the catalog up to date after a tape change - i.e. 'update slots [scan] storage=<whatever>' in bconsole.
