I'm interested too, I've an HP LTO-2 and bacula says that gets 1,5 MB/sec ( for both backup clients, local and remote )I'm not an average user of scsi tape devices, any tip will be very wellcome :)
These numbers are highly dependent on the backup type (full, incremental ...) and the ability to compress the data, the network speed (as you will need a gigabit connection to get > 10MB/s over a network, database, concurrency settings, hard drive performance, and spooling. I have jobs that get 1MB/s and other jobs that get 25MB/s.
