Hi all,
I have 2 tapes (HP LTO3), which have a problems with Bacula.
'btape test' works perfectly, but fill doesn't - it fills ok till ~ 9,5 GiB,
after in /var/log/messages begin errors:
Dec 28 17:45:26 turret kernel: st0: <<DEFERRED>>: sense key: Medium
Error
Dec 28 17:45:26 turret kernel: Add. Sense: Write error
Dec 28 17:45:26 turret kernel:
Dec 28 17:45:26 turret kernel: Info fld=0xfc00
Dec 28 17:47:34 turret kernel: st0: Current: sense key: Medium Error
Dec 28 17:47:34 turret kernel: Add. Sense: Write error
Dec 28 17:47:34 turret kernel:
Dec 28 17:47:34 turret kernel: Info fld=0x0
...
and fill test stops.
So I thought something bad with cassete, but if i write to tape with tar
(not Bacula):
# tar cvf /dev/nst0 testdir/
no problem, i tried write 13GiB (testdir) without any troubles.
What's wrong?
p.s.
My system is Linux CentOS5, Bacula 2.2.6, HP StorageWorks 1-8 G2 Tape
Autoloader 920. Tried to play with blocksize (set it to 64512), nut without
success - fill said 'write error'.
