Sorry to ask some FAQ maybe, I don't find an up to date solution right now:

At a site I want to use S3 backups, seems that I can't use the packages from the vanilla debian repos (cloud drivers missing?)

So I need to add the Bacula Community binaries from the repos at

https://www.bacula.org/packages/

Yes, I have an access-key.

apt-key is deprecated on Debian for a while

both

https://www.bacula.org/whitepapers/CommunityInstallationGuide.pdf

and

https://docs.baculasystems.com/BEInstallation/CommunityInstallation/DebianInstallationWithApt/ImportGPGKey/index.html

still tell to use apt-key

Tried to set up the repo following the howtos for other projects and how they import/use the key.

("gpg --import ..." )

copied the asc-key to /usr/share/keyrings/Bacula-4096-Distribution-Verification-key.asc

# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/Bacula-Community.list

deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/Bacula-4096-Distribution-Verification-key.asc] https://www.bacula.org/packages/$accesskey/debs/15.0.3 bookworm main

nope:

# apt update

Warnung: OpenPGP-Signaturüberprüfung fehlgeschlagen: https://www.bacula.org/packages/xx/debs/15.0.3 bookworm Release: Sub-process /usr/bin/sqv returned an error code (1), error message is: Signing key on 5235F5B668D81DB61704A82DC0BE2A5FE9DF3643 is not bound: No binding signature at time 2025-03-27T14:19:48Z because: Policy rejected non-revocation signature (PositiveCertification) requiring second pre-image resistance because: SHA1 is not considered secure since 2026-02-01T00:00:00Z Fehler: Das Depot »https://www.bacula.org/packages/xx/debs/15.0.3 bookworm Release« ist nicht signiert.

Ah, and there still is no separate repo for trixie, I assume bookworm is still OK to use?

What's the "official" and working method to get this installed properly?
Could that also go into the docs maybe?

thanks all
