dear david,
:"how one could determine what a person's capacity is"
first, be concerned with nobody';s capacity but ur own. tht does wonders to
increase ur ability to fulfill it.
2nd, the issue as the Master states somwehre or ther (ocean something like
"shot glass" and "gallon measure") is that God knows the capacity, it's merely
our job to attemot to overflow it.
3rd, in lG inre tests is the comme tntta while God does not test us beyond
our capacity, as a result of ree will we are certinly able to overburden
ourselves with tests--of our, rather than Divinem making.
    :"And
> if we grow from tests aren't we supposed to want more?"
i'm reminded of rumi or saadi or somebody saying in order to find water, first
find thirst, and water from the very ground will burst.
i've met many people who hope their lives will suck so that they can
accumulate virtues and such.
imho this is whats meant by :"teh benefits of the next world spoken about"
when somebody's all thrilled about the
"stars in their crown" thyre racking up, they are making heaven partners with
God, Who Has No Partners, as well as no fingers.
if the coolest thing u can do is teach the Faith, then possibly expanding ur
teaching is expanding the fullness of ur capacity.
it has been my expereince that finding ays of doing that
proclaiming/teaching/consolidating can bring tests as varied as
being called not-nice names to being praised; from sleeping in pizza factory
parking lots to sleeping on satin and being fed delicacies.
