it might be useful to ask...what?
the root indicates "making something be".
so, is that some stuff >is< inevitible?
that seems self-evident...uh..hm.
Suffer the friends to become firm in the Covenant and give the message of the
Kingdom of Abha to other souls.
(Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 358)
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh
us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered Him."
(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 91)
Suffer all created things to quaff once again from this chalice which hath
caused the seas to rise. Kindle then in the hearts the blazing fire which this
crimson Tree hath ignited, that they may arise to extol and magnify His Name
amidst the adherents of all Faiths.
(Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 196)

there is a phrase, pain is inevitible, suffering is optional.
this, to me, returns to the question, what is the corect world view?
an incorrect one causes things to be that don;t work. finding they don;t work
may be painful. insisting they do is suffering.
