The Baha'i Studies Listserv That may have singled them ahead of time, but you would have gotten the same reaction once they found out your purpose, so better they turn you away without knowing which group you represented. I think it is important for the dignity of the Faith to be well-dressed on these occasions. It signals that you take seriously what you represent.
