The Baha'i Studies Listserv I have astral projected, and I can assure you that it is real. But I don't expect anyone to believe it unless it has happened to them. I agree with the Baha'i stance on discouraging people from developing these abilities, which is possible to do. It sounds like a lot of fun, but there is a whole other world out there; and if you don't know how to protect yourself from the unseen, you could seriously get hurt (both spiritually and physically.) I know Baha'is don't believe in demons and jinn, but I look at crossing into the "spirit world" as if one is going to a foreign country. A lot of people are going to know you are a foreigner, and some people will take advantage of your confusion and guide you into an alley and rob you or something.
