The Baha'i Studies Listserv The Bab said that his writings are a mere ring on the finger of He whom God shall make manifest. The Bab made it clear that nothing, not even the Bayan, should stop the faithful from acknowledging Him. The way I look at it, the particular 1511-2001 clause in the Bayan was only to test the believers.
